SKILLS ACADEMIES: ANAEROBIC THRESHOLD TESTING

Endurance athletes including, runners, swimmers, cyclists and triathletes all need to train as fast as possible without “hitting the wall.” This sensation results from an accumulation of high levels of lactic acid in the bloodstream. The anaerobic threshold testing can be measured using the ventilatory threshold taken during the VO2 Max test. The anaerobic threshold is the best predictor of current endurance performance.
