Lactate Threshold Testing is designed for elite level endurance athlete who demand the most precise measure of his/her anaerobic threshold. The Lactate Threshold is defined as the highest exercise intensity at which blood lactate concentration does not increase beyond baseline levels.
The Lactate Threshold test involves a graded exercise test on a treadmill or bike resistance trainer. At various stages of the test we measure lactate levels to determine when lactic acid starts to accumulate. The test will take approximately 45-60 minutes.
