VO2 Max is the point where your body cannot increase its intake of oxygen despite an increase in exercise intensity. The VO2 Max test enables an athlete to establish his/her true maximal heart rate and ventilatory threshold that will assist in developing an appropriate endurance training program. This test is very predictive of an athlete’s potential as an endurance athlete with participation in a structured training program.
