Dr. Lombardo has over 28 years of experience covering various teams at the high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic levels. He's especially interested in medical care of athletes of all levels and physically active people, musculoskeletal problems, youth sports and drug use in sports.
Dr. Lombardo serves as the advisor to the NFL for performance-enhancing drugs and is the Independent Administrator of the NFL Policy for Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids and Related Substances. He was the first president and one of the founding members of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He was also medical director of the OSU Sports Medicine Center and head team physician and medical director for the OSU Athletic Department. He is the team physician for Upper Arlington High School.
He was a physician at the US National Sports Festival in 1985 and the head physician for the 1986 Olympic Sports Festival, the US delegation to the 1987 Summer World University Games and the 1998 Winter Olympics.
Before coming to Columbus, Dr. Lombardo served as medical director of sports medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, team physician for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland State University and Chagrin Falls High School and medical consultant for the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Ballet.

Dr. Bright is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician, with a special focus on sports medicine, comprehensive care for runners, tri-athletes and cyclists, overuse injuries, stress fractures and Active Release Technique (ART).
He is the director of the MAX Sports Medicine Endurance Academy, head team physician for Worthington Kilbourne High School and Otterbein College and serves as the medical director for The Columbus Marathon and Capital City Half Marathon. He also serves as a medical consultant to several running and cycling groups within the central Ohio area and previously served as a team physician for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics.
Dr. Bright is an avid marathon runner and tri-athlete, having completed more than 20 marathons including The Columbus Marathon, Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and Chicago, New York City and Boston marathons. In addition to multiple Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, he also completed Ironman Florida.

Dr. Cayce is a board certified family medicine physician specializing in family, integrative and sports medicine. He is certified to treat both pediatric and adult patients, and his training allows him to treat all levels of athletes ranging from professional, collegiate and school-aged athletes to active individuals.
Dr. Cayce is the team physician at Liberty Union High School and formerly served as the primary care sports medicine physician for Division I, Division II and NAIA collegiate events. He also has experience in professional events including football, baseball, triathlons, mixed martial arts and marathons. He has also been a physician at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
He is especially interested in the medical aspects of sports medicine including the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, asthma, nutrition, concussions, infections and orthopedic conditions in athletes. Dr. Cayce has recently been given the Patient's Choice Award and has been named America's Top Family Doctor in family and sports medicine every year since 2007.

Dr. Diehl is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He has a special interest in comprehensive sports medicine services with a focus on providing complete care for the endurance athlete such as runners, cyclists, swimmers and tri-athletes.
Prior to joining MAX, he was assistant professor of clinical family medicine at The Ohio State University and also team physician for the OSU Athletic Department specializing in a host of sports including track and field, swimming, diving, softball, men's basketball and men's ice hockey. Dr. Diehl is currently the team physician for Ohio Wesleyan University and the medical advisor for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Team in Training and previously served as the medical director for the Run Wild Racing series. He is a former varsity football and track athlete for Ohio Wesleyan.

Dr. DiOrio is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician with a special interest in medical acupuncture and manipulation.
He serves as team physician at Ohio Wesleyan University, Watterson High School and Dublin Scioto High School. Dr. DiOrio served as team physician for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics specializing in swimming, wrestling, fencing and gymnastics. He has also been a physician at the US Olympic Training Center.
Dr. DiOrio is a runner and a tri-athlete and was a member of the 1988 National Championship Football Team at the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Ewald is a board-certified internal medicine, pediatrics and sports medicine physician with a special interest in sideline medicine and on-field emergencies, concussion management and the diagnosis and treatment of pars stress fractures in children and adolescent athletes.
Dr. Ewald is the team physician for Westerville North High School and previously the team physician for Indianapolis Washington Community High School, Western Boone High School and Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. He has also served as assistant team physician to the Indianapolis Colts and Purdue University.

Dr. Hospel is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician passionate about helping athletes achieve general health, returning them to play after injury and assisting them in achieving maximal performance.
He serves as the PGA TOUR anti-doping program medical director and team physician for Dublin Jerome High School. He previously served as team physician for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics, Dublin Scioto High School and Worthington Kilbourne High School.
Dr. Hospel is a former Northwestern University Varsity Soccer Player, where he was a four-year varsity letter winner and team MVP.

Dr. Shaw is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician with clinical interests in acupuncture, medical care of all levels of athletes and physically active people, youth sports and helping athletes achieve maximal performance.
He returned to Columbus to practice medicine in 2007 after providing medical care to soldiers and elite athletes in the United States Army for eight years. This included a deployment to Afghanistan where he received a Bronze Star and a Combat Medic Badge for his accomplishments.
Dr. Shaw currently serves as team physician at Hilliard Bradley High School and is the fellowship director of the Grant Sports Medicine Fellowship. He previously served as a team physician for the Columbus Destroyers and for the Georgetown University Department of Athletics.

Dr. Sturmi is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician with a special interest in active people of all ages, concussions, substance abuse, heart disease screening and adolescent health.
Dr. Sturmi serves as team physician for Denison University and Olentangy Orange High School, and has previously worked with the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Columbus Destroyers, the Birmingham Barracudas (CFL), the OSU Buckeyes and several other colleges and high schools.
Dr. Sturmi was a four-year football letterman at Mt. Union College and maintains a passion for athletics.
